AAK sustainability report 2018

9 illustrating how our sustainability work comes alive. Further, we regularly report progress on the imple- mentation of our Responsible Sourcing Policy or our responsible sourcing programs in AAK’s progress reports on sustainable palm and shea. Reports and policies are publicly available at AAK’s website. The UN Global Compact encourages companies to engage in partnerships to tackle global challenges more effectively. AAK embraces the view that in partnerships you combine competencies and are likely to accomplish more than you could do on your own. Partnering with other businesses, NGOs and governmental agencies are ways to accomplish more. For example, AAK is participating in or partnering with RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil), GSA (Global Shea Alliance) and Proforest. Monitoring and dialogue Our sustainability approach is not static, but adjusted to input from stakeholders such as customers, investors, NGOs and employees. We monitor new and upcoming legislation, follow trends in our communities, and benchmark our sustainability practices against those of retailers, customers and competitors. AAK sustainable growth Our overall objective is to grow AAK sustainably and progress within sustainability as a whole.
