Business area Chocolate & Confectionery Fats Continued growth and very well positioned Chocolate & Confectionery Fats primarily serves customers in the chocolate confectionery and caramel, toffee and nougat segments. During 2019, the business area, which also includes Personal Care and Natural Emulsifiers, showed good volume and profit growth. This despite challenges with low- yielding shea kernels that resulted in a lower output and higher production costs.
